The Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology has firm guidelines on how children should be protected in all activities conducted by the association (training seminars, workshops, outreach and dissemination activities, etc.). For this purpose HAPPSY has issued a Child Protection Policy & Prodecures document which outlines how the Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology will protect the rights and safety of the children and young people with whom we come in contact during the course of our work. 

The kick-off meeting of the participants in the European project SUCCESS (Strategies to Utilize and Cultivate positive Characteristics and Employability Skills in Schools) took place on 24-25 October 2017 in Vilnius, Lithuania and more specifically in the prestigious Vilnius University.

The Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology, that is considered to be a valuable partner in this project, significantly contributed to the successful outcome of the first transnational meeting.

The "Train the Trainers" workshop was held at the premises of Pedagogical Institute on the 18th -22nd of September, 2017, where consortium representatives/trainers present the practical implication of the HOPEs Training Tool. These practices will be also applied during the pilot period with primary teachers, from December 2017 to May 2018, in each member country.

10 Professional counselors will have the opportunity to participate in a free training program under the European project EAGLES. The training will take place at Panteion University

Mellon accelerator organizes the open skills seminar "Positive Psychology for occupational resilience". The seminar will be led by Dr. Anastasios Stalikas, Professor of Psychology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. Friday, January 27, 2017, OTE Academy  

The Psychology Department of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences participates in the European project HOPEs. It is an EU-funded project under the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships Programme. The ultimate aim of this project is to strengthen teachers’ ability to positively interact and influence students’ behaviour and competences which will result in more effective and meaningful education in schools. An innovative educational program will be developed during the two years of the project’s implementation that will be based on the theoretical framework of positive psychology and character education. Trained teachers will become more motivated to improve their teaching methods and to guide their students in issues related to self-awareness, psychological resilience, happiness and positivity.

"The science of happiness" is the title for the second course of the Open Folk University in Irakleio/ Chania/ Rethymno, Crete. It is implemented in collaboration with the Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology. Scientific responsible for the course is Dr. Anastasios Stalikas, Professor at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and President of HAPPSY

In 25 November, 2016, the 2nd one-day conference of Positive Psychology took place at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. The conference was organized by the Positive Psychology Branch of the Hellenic Psychological Society in collaboration with the Postgraduate Program of the Psychology Department of Panteion University and the Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology
