SYMPOSIUM 1: CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENTS IN POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

This symposium will feature four papers, which will focus on concepts emerging in the field of Positive Psychology as well as new scientific developments on them. The first paper presents the relationship between positive psychology and narrative psychotherapy. It is an investigation of the points of convergence and the relevant practices applied. The second communication deals with the interplay of positive emotions and meaning-making in the context of therapeutic change, as well as the study of facilitators in psychotherapy, from the client's perspective. The third paper will focus on studying the relationship of self-compassion with gender and work experience, as well as with well-being variables. Finally, the fourth announcement will present the first results of a series of investigations, conducted with the aim of investigating the possible predictive relationship between elements of well-being and variables related to characteristics of adult friendships. These results contribute to the creation of a theoretical model regarding the contribution of friends in building the levels of well-being of adults.

SYMPOSIUM 2: POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY AND HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY

This symposium will feature four papers focusing on concepts emerging in the field of Positive Psychology and how they relate to and impact health. In the first presentation, there will be a brief description of the relationship between the fields of positive psychology and health psychology and the highlighting and description of the specific areas in which Positive Psychology and Health Psychology can make a common contribution to the promotion of health and mental well-being. welfare. The second presentation focuses on the role of positive emotions in enhancing mental resilience and protecting mental health. Resilience is one of the central pillars of Positive Psychology, while theoretical models and research demonstrate that experiencing positive emotions has beneficial effects on enhancing mental resilience. The third communication will focus on an analysis of qualitative data from a psychotherapeutic program for heart patients, on an outpatient basis, lasting one year. Finally, in the fourth announcement reference will be made to empirical data on the relationship between perceived justice in the workplace, work stress and mental health indicators.
