On Friday, July 13, 2018, a conference was held at Panteion University  for the presentation of the results of the European Program Erasmus+ HOPEs (Happiness, Optimism, Positivity and Ethos in Schools).

The workshop was attended by   teachers who participated in the pilot training of teachers held from   February 9 to March 9, 2018 but _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b5cf58d_ and other interested parties.  

 

The conference was opened by the scientific coordinator of the HOPEs program for Greece, Dr. Anastasios Stalikas, Professor of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and President of the Hellenic Society of Positive Psychology (EETHEPSY). Afterwards, the Vice-President of EETHEPSY, Dr. Michalis Galanakis who emphasized the importance of positive emotions and in general positive psychology in education. Dr. Irini Karakasidou presented the HOPEs program, while the conference was closed by Dr. Agathi Lakioti who presented the training  that took place within the framework of the HOPEs program and its results. Then followed a discussion on the usefulness of the program for education as well as on the more general possibilities of applying the principles of positive psychology in education. At the end of the conference, a cocktail party was held where organizers and participants had the opportunity to interact and discuss.
