Happy Together: The Power of Positive Relationships

November 23-24, 2019 in Thessaloniki

It took 75 years and 20 million dollars to make a clear conclusion of five words: Happiness is Love. Full stop.  These were the words of George Valliant, responsible for more than 40 years of an impressive undertaking in the field of psychology, the longest-running research in the history of science, the research being passed down to the next generation of researchers. One of the main conclusions that emerged from this research is that warmth as a characteristic of relationships that one has throughout one's life has the greatest effect on feeling satisfied with life.

Harvard research is the guide to what is worth in life. Throughout our lives, regardless of our level of education and financial situation, regardless of our type of work and above and beyond even our health, what remains and ultimately determines the quality of our life is our positive relationships, the relationships that bring us warmth and love.

What are positive relationships? What are the ingredients of positive relationships? In what ways can we create, develop and maintain positive relationships in our lives? What is the contribution of positive relationships to our levels of personal happiness, well-being, and well-being?

These are some of the questions that will be answered in the interactive and experiential seminar by Dr. Antigoni Mertika and Dr. Paschalia Mytskidou . The two lecturers are founding members of EETHEPSY with many years of clinical and research experience. In recent years they have turned their interest to the study of positive relationships and coordinate seminars under the auspices of EETHEPSY with the aim of training individuals in building positive relationships.
